Spring Shocks Surprises

A lone girl was slowly walking down the dirt road, accompanied by a gray and white cat and carrying a heavy-looking backpack. She looked pretty nervous about... something, and kept glancing around and muttering quietly to herself.

The gray cat pressed up against the girl's leg so hard she could feel it shivering.

"Don't worry, it's going to be fine," she said soothingly, trying to cover up the small shiver in her voice as she looked at the enormous house that was going to become their new home.

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the house, two other girls emerged out of the woods and stared at the house.

One girl had long red hair that was down over her shoulders, and intense green eyes that looked suspiciously at the house.

The other was a little older and had strawberry blond hair in a braid, and hazel eyes with dark circles underneath.

They paused at the stairs.

"Are you absolutely sure this is the right house, Ellie?" the younger girl asked. Her voice was both hopeful, and a little distrustful.

"Yes, I'm sure!" the other one replied quickly, sounding as if she was just trying to convince herself.

On the porch, Julie was practicing with her basketball, proudly wearing her new uniform for the school team.

Carmen was wearing springy/flowery clothes and posing on the railing.
She evidently had no clue how dangerous it was.
I have a perfect sense of balance. It WAS NOT dangerous.
Carmen, I'M BUSY.

I look amazing in this one.
CARMEN, I'M WARNING YOU.

And Kaya was hanging out with Paintball and Nutmeg, Julie's new bunny.

"HEY! There's someone coming up the driveway!" Carmen hollered over her shoulder to Kaya. Then she started waving and scrambled down the railing so fast she would have broken her neck if not for her "perfect sense of balance".

"Hello! I'm Carmen, and those lazy slowpokes who didn't bother to come down are Kaya and Julie. What's your name?' Carmen asked. "Umm...my name is Reese Everdeen, and I think I'm your new sister." Reese said shyly. Carmen's eyes widened in surprise and shock. "Wow... I had no idea, but that's awesome!"

Carmen helped pull Reese up the stairs.

When they got to the top, they were all extremely surprised. Because what else could two dolls they'd never seen before showing up on their doorstep mean then two new sisters?

The new girls waved self-consciously.
This would be an interesting year.

Of course, I'm only guessing.
